This handsome unisex vest is accented with diamond twisted stitch panels on both the front and back. On the back, each of the three panels is identical; on the front, the side panels are mirror images, so that the stitfch patterns on each side of the V-neck will be symmetrical. The neck and armholes are self-finished (worked at the same time as the body: no edging needs to be added); the neck edge pattern flows from the twisted stitch pattern, and the armhole edging, from the vest side accents (see photos). 
Three different lengths are given for each size to coordinate the length of the stitch pattern with personal measurements; this also allows each size to easily be adapted for a man or woman. Laredo is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes, with no waist shaping. The upper front and back are worked flat, and the shoulders are joined using three-needle bind off.
