This egg pattern works up rather quickly, about 30 mins.

Takes less than an ounce of yarn to make using a D/3.25 mm hook and red heart super saver or bernat super value WW yarn.

It is a great stash buster.

Following the yarn and hook size, you will need a plastic egg 3” tall by 2” wide (in the center).
Some fabric glue for attaching to plastic egg.

The sky is the limit with this egg. You can decorate it any way you would like. Crack open and fill with candy, toys, money, etc, for those little ones Easter basket.

Maybe even crochet a little chick, bunny, or even a little dinosaur and put in there. Lots of options out ther to choose from. Let your imagination run free with this egg pattern.

Your finished egg will be approx 3 1/2” x 2 1/2” so not much bigger than the original egg.
