This sweet giraffe is so much fun to make. Although I provide the color scheme for a traditional looking giraffe, remember that you can make him in any color scheme you can imagine. Each piece is crocheted separately, stuffed with fiberfill, then stitched together using yarn. I provide 21 color pictures to help you through the various steps. Using the recommended hook and yarn size (3.25mm and worsted weight) you will get about a 12” tall giraffe. But you can use a smaller hook and yarn to make a smaller giraffe or a large hook and larger yarn to make a larger giraffe!
This pattern includes 40 color photos to aid in the making of this giraffe.
Skill level: Beginner. You must know how to crochet in the round, close circles, change colors, make increases and decreases, how to attach an open crochet piece to a solid piece (attaching the ears, nose, etc), and how to embroider details like the face.
The pattern is written in US terminology.
