Large lace butterfly
This is a pattern I made last year for a larger crochet butterfly.
I make the butterflies using Patons 4-ply cotton, but any other yarn could easily be used. However, I did try them in wool and they are not easy to stiffen and also become a bit too furry looking for my taste.
If they need to hang freely they need to be stiffened after blocking out to stay stiff enough to hang.
The pattern is available to download for free from my blog. It is free for all to use, but please don’t reproduce the pattern elsewhere and claim ownership of it. It is written out in UK terms but there is a guide to US terms and to the abbreviations in the document.
