Thank you for your interest in this pattern. Let me tell you a bit about it. Large Mosaic Alphabet is a mosaic crochet pattern written using the Overlay Mosaic Crochet technique. The pattern can be used to add words to other mosaic projects and/or to create sentences or sayings in your work. In addition, there is a wall hanging pattern for all of the letters, numbers, and punctuation together, which would be great for teaching small children at home or in schools.

Features of this pattern:
– Chart for each character
– Written instructions for each character
– Uppercase and lowercase letters
– Numbers 0 through 9
– Punctuation symbols ! ? & = - ‘ ‘ , : ; @ * # % $ / \
– Information on understanding contrast in color choices
– Written in US Crochet Terms
– Chart for wall hanging of all characters together (like sample)
– Blank graphs for laying out your design

Any yarn and hook will work, hook should be recommended size by yarn label, or one to two sizes smaller, depending on the look you’d like to achieve. Yardage depends on your project, weight of yarn, and hook used.

Sample was created with Big Twist Value Solids in Purple, Teal, and Coral with a 4.5mm hook.
