Worked in heavy weight wool yarns, the finished sugar skulls are approximately 10 inches high. This pattern can be worked on smaller needles and smaller yarns for a smaller finished sugar skull.

The pattern uses stockinette stitch, and short rows for shaping. Pieces are also layered to get the finished shaping.

You will need approximately 75 yards of white feltable wool yarn, and approximately 15 yards of black feltable wool yarn for the eye sockets.

There are many ways to decorate your sugar skulls. After felting, you can use left over yarns in your stash to add any embroidery, crochet and needle felting details to decorate your sugar skulls.

This sugar skull pattern does not contain directions for decorations.
