This a large bag crocheted in a filet style in the round.

Materials:

• 7 x 2.4 oz (7 x 68g) balls of Aunt Lydia’s Fashion 3 crochet thread - 1050 yards (960m) length.
• Crochet hook size C-2 (2.75mm)
• Needle for sewing in ends
• Stitch markers x4

Dimensions:
Bag width: 21 inches (53cm)
Bag height including handle: 25 inches (63.5cm)

Other size 3 threads such as DMC’s Petra are also suitable for this bag. If you would prefer to use yarn instead of thread, a non-stretchy superfine/fingering weight cotton yarn such as Scheepjes Cotton 8 can be substituted.

The more complicated rows are broken down into sections (’skull’, ‘eye’, ‘teeth’ etc) each with its own stitch count to help keep your place in the pattern.

Some stitches are underlined - notes are added at the end of sections indicating where these stitches should be placed in relation to the previous round. These check points help you ensure each round is progressing correctly.

The good news is there’s no sewing involved in this bag! The front and back are joined using sl-st.
