The finished Gonk, when worked in double knit yarn as described in the pattern, will measure approximately 50cm high and 25cm in diameter.
This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension.

This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge. It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.

Marriner Aqua double knit 400 g (Body and hat)
• Marriner beige double knit 40 g (Hands and the nose)
• Marriner sage green Aran and double knit 30g(vine and leaves)
• Marriner white Aran 30 g (beard)
• Drops safran yellow
• Drops safran black
• Drops Safran red
• Drops Safran white
• Drops safran pink
• Drops safran purple.
• Toy stuffing
• Safety eyes 6 mm x4
• Round disc of cardboard. Roughly 14 cm in diameter to create a flat bottom.
• Something to use as a weight, I made some concrete blocks ( picture below ) but you
can use large stones, rocks or even rice but be mindful that if rice gets wet it will rot your gonk.
