Large Storage Basket

This is s cylinder style basket. Perfect for storing blankets, bulky yarn or to use as a laundry basket. Measures approximately 13” in diameter x 15” tall.

This can be made in any size desired; just increase or decrease the number of rows in the base and/or body. For this pattern I used 4 strands of worsted weight yarn at the same time.

My tension for this project was tight as to make sure it was stiff enough to stand on it’s own. You may need to increase or decrease your tension to get the desired effect.

Materials needed:
4 skeins of bernat super value in grey ragg (7oz / 426 yards each)
N (10.0 mm) Hook
Needle (for sewing in ends)

Notes:

• use 4 strands at the same time as if they are one super bulky strand
• Chain 1 at the beginning of each round does not count as a stitch
• SC=Single Crochet, SLST=slip stitch, CH=Chain, ST=stitch, SC2Tog= single crochet 2 together
• The second picture attached is to show the detail of the handle (I used macrame cord to show more detail)
