This pullover in reverse Stockinette stitch has twisted ribbing on the cuffs and hem. Knit flat from the bottom, twisted cables in the centre extend from the hem to the bottom of the v-neck, frame the neck opening in front and the lace panel in the back, and are joined on the shoulders.

Cable and lace patterns are written in charts. The charts are designed to be easy to follow, to help keep track of armhole shaping while you knit those “at the same “ instructions for cables, lace and neck shaping.

The set-in sleeves are close fitting and end just above the elbow, giving the pullover a touch of elegance.

Seams and set-in sleeves ensure structure and good fit for your garment. The shoulders are sloped with short rows and seamed together after binding off. This helps to prevent the shoulders stretching out and gives a neater finish than a three needle bind off.

The hem ends just below the waist for a flattering look. It is easy to make this garment slightly shorter or longer if you wish. Since you will be knitting the garment from the bottom, it is good to study the schematics, your row gauge and make the decision from the start.

Tips for choosing yarn:
The cable design is quite subtle and delicate. The details may be lost in a yarn that is too variegated. It is a good idea to make a swatch of the cable design to check if your yarn of choice is able to achieve the definition you want.

Cable needles (optional), sewing pins or removable st markers to aid alignment when sewing in sleeves, tapestry needle for seaming and weaving in ends.

Lariatは裏メリヤス編みがベースのプルで、袖口と裾をねじりゴム編みで編みます。ボトムアップ式に作り、身頃中央のねじり目の交差模様は裾から襟ぐりまで延び、前襟ぐりと後ろ身頃のレースパネルを縁取って肩でつながります。細身のセットインスリーブは肘の上で止まり、プルにエレガントな印象を添えます。

肩はドイツ式引返し編みで肩下がりをつけ、伏せ止めをした後にはぎ合せます。3本の針の引き抜き止めより仕上がりがきれいで、肩が伸びてしまうのを防ぐことができます。

ラインが美しく見えるよう、裾はウエストのほんの少し下で止まりますが、着丈は簡単に調節できます。ボトムアップ式に編むので、図と得られた段ゲージを突き合わせ、編み始めから変更点を決めておくと良いでしょう。

糸の選び方

交差模様のデザインは非常に細かく繊細です。色の変化の多い段染め糸ではディテールが埋もれてしまう可能性があります交差模様を試し編みし、選んだ糸で望み通りの仕上がりが得られるか確認すると良いでしょう。
