The Lariette Scarf begins with a provisional cast on. A narrow strip is worked in stockinette stitch with garter stitch borders before joining into a loop using the provisionally cast on stitches. The scarf is increased over a single row and is then worked straight until it is bound off. The Lariette scarf is extremely flexible in terms of the yarns that can be used, the gauge, and the finished size.
