Larina Shawl
Larina (Latin name means seagull) Shawl is a two color triangular shawl with slightly curvy top edge. Shawl body is worked sideways in one piece in two color garter stirpe and slip stitch patterns. The shawl edge is worked top down with two options to choose from narrow garter stitch edge or narrow eyelet edge or wide eyelet edge.

Finished Measurements
Short version 1 with narrow garter edge: 66” (168 cm) windspan, 19” (49 cm) deep, 0.4” (1 cm) edge width.
Short version 2 with narrow eyelet edge: 67” (170 cm) wingspan, 20” (50 cm) deep, 0.8” (2 cm) edge width.
Full version with wide eyelet edge: 75” (190 cm) wingspan, 24” (60 cm) deep, 4.75”(12 cm) edge width.
Shawl size is customizable by adding or taking away shawl body repeats or edge repeats (see Notes).

Knit Picks Hawthorne Tonal (80% Superwash Fine Highland Wool, 20% Polyamide Nylon, 357 yards/100g): MC Eugene 1, 1, 2 hanks,
Knit Picks Hawthorne Speckle (80% Superwash Fine Highland Wool, 20% Polyamide Nylon, 357 yards/100g): CC Berry smoothie, 1, 1, 1 hank
or other fingering weight yarn with estimate yardage 360-440 yds (325-400 m) in 100 gr: MC - 500 yds (460 m), CC - 290 yds (260 m).
Needles
US 5 (3.75 mm) 32” or longer circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
1 size smaller needle for picking up edge sts (optional).
Gauge
20 sts and 44 rows = 4” in Garter st.
Gauge is not important for this project but it affects finished size and amount of yarn needed.
