Larix Pendula
The socks are worked in the round from the top down. Instructions are given for working the socks on double pointed needles. However, the pattern can easily be adapted for knitting on 2 circular needles, or on 1 circular needle, using magic loop.
The pattern includes simple directional decreases and directional make 1 stitches to produce the wavy pattern.
The pattern includes both chart as well as written instructions.
Larix decidua pendula (common name weeping European larch), is a favourite of ours and is the inspiration for this design. The cascading branches with their soft pale green needles form a lovely contrast with other conifers in our garden. Its deciduous ‘habit’ is more than well compensated by the bright orange-yellow fall colour. One of my favourites overhangs our water garden.
