The lark, unlike most birds, can sing while it’s flying! Larks are known for their melodious singing and cheerfulness and remind us to find joy in our own lives.

Lark Song is crocheted from the bottom tip, upwards and outwards in two sections forming an asymmetrical triangle. All rows have an increase end and a decrease end creating the long curved edges.

The main body section is an easy two-row repeat that forms a mesh stitch pattern. The end section is an eight-row repeat and forms two-row stripes with an interesting stitch pattern where one color dips down into the other color.

For my Lark Song I used four skeins of the new Shibui Nest, a DK weight yarn (Highland wood/alpaca, 175 yards/50 grams), in the colors Tar and Bordeaux. Check out this new yarn and all of the lovely colors.
