Larks Cowl
An easy lace-stitch cowl knit in the round with optional beads. The cowl is long enough to wear loose as a scarf, or wrapped twice around the neck for a more snug fit. The sample was knit using one Transitional Pack (sample colorway: Girl on Fire) from Wooly Wonka Fibers, but could be knit with 375-380 yards of any fingering weight yarn. The pattern also calls for 171 size-6 seed beads, which are optional.
Suggested skills: Knit and purl in the round, basic chart-reading skills, yarn-over and decrease skills.
The Larks Cowl is named after one of the fashionable 1960s Mod-Look clothing stores along Carnaby Street in London. It is also available in the 7-piece Carnaby Street ebook here on Ravelry.
Note: If you have received a print copy of the entire book, there is an error on row 7 of the chart. It should be worked exactly like row 3 with 2 sets of decreases on either side of the yo’s. If you’ve purchased an individual print or PDF copy, the chart should be correct.
