The LDOW hat it’s a perfect project to become familiar with stranded knitting. It’s worked with two colours and it follows a simple 4/8 stitches repetition. Moreover, I wrote some clear instructions to follow the chart.

The hat is worked in the round and FROM THE TOP. I used magic loop method but, if you’re confident with double pointed needle, it will be exactly the same thing.

The LDOW hat is worked totally in stockinette stitch, except for the edge, that is worked in rib stitch.

As you can read, I’m not excellent in English (I’m Italian), so I’m afraid you’ll find a lot of grammatical issues. I beg your pardon in advance and I’ll do my best to write properly. Anyway, I’m sure you won’t find any problem with the pattern, because I’m an expert with English knitting patterns.

Questo modello è perfetto per avvicinarsi alla lavorazione stranded, perché utilizza solo due colori e segue uno schema di 4 o 8 maglie ripetute per tutto il giro. Inoltre, ho cercato di scrivere delle istruzioni molto chiare per seguire il grafico.
Il cappello è lavorato in tondo e DALL’ALTO VERSO IL BASSO. Per l’inizio ho usato la tecnica magic loop (quella che permette di creare piccole circonferenze usando ferri circolari molto lunghi) ma, se avete dimestichezza con il gioco di ferri, è esattamente la stessa cosa.
Il modello è lavorato a maglia rasata, fatta eccezione per il bordo, in cui si lavorerà a coste 2/2.
