Laszlo Sweater
This sweater was inspired by the TV show What we do in the Shadows! Laszlo Cravensworth is an eccentric Vampire who shouts “BAT” whenever he goes to transform. And this quirky sweater is all about the bat. Pick and choose where your bats rest on the sweater, and enjoy this heavy colorwork design!
This is knit from the bottom up. After the hem in CC1, you will knit a round in MC, before starting the bats.
Pages 12-13 have rectangle outlines in which you can choose where to put the meat and skeleton bats on your sweater! There will also be a chart on how many bats in each round your size will have.
MC - Body/sleeve color/Meat Bat eyes (Red)
CC1 - Hems/Meat Bat outline/Skeleton Bat eyes (Black)
CC2 - Bat wings (Grey)
CC3 - Skeleton Bat/Meat Bath fangs (White)
Sizes
Inches Measured at widest point on body (I measure my hips):
28(35)42(49)56(63)70
-- if you are a tight colorwork knitter (like I am) I would recocomend sizing up --
4x4”/10x10cm = 26 stitches x 24 rows
in stockinette stitch
-- I would recommend swatching the bat, not stockinette --
Each Bat should be approx. 6.5 inches wide by 3 inches tall
