Lattice Embrace is a slightly dressy alternative for when you need a warm hug. Wear this sweater with a long skirt or with jeans-it’s a loose cuddle when you need it, with a sophisticated ribbing. Worked in pieces, with any bulky weight yarn or combination of yarns that knit at 3 stitches to the inch, this is an easy pattern for a knitter’s first sweater.

Oversized, with drop shoulders, this coat is not burdened with buttonhole plackets to add bulk. No tight shapes or constraints…. Close this sweater with a flexible number of buttons from 1-6, three-quarters of the way across your bust, for a slightly off-set look. At the neckline, button up tight against the chill or unbutton the top button for a folded over triangle. This will embrace you on chilly days, with a lattice-like ribbing for ‘office’ occasions. Go ahead. Turn the thermostat down a little.

Accessibility Note: This pattern offers an additional Low Vision pdf option, with Arial 24 point sans serif font in all black text and photo captions. It has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out. If there’s a chart included, there are also written instructions- the chart is not needed to complete the pattern.
