Lattice Mitts
These mitts are knit in a chunky yarn, making them warm, squishy and quick to knit. The thumb gusset makes for a great fit, and the seamless construction gives them a tidy look. The lattice cables on the back give these mitts enough stretch to make them versatile for different hand sizes. The length can be adjusted by doing more or fewer repeats of the cable pattern.
This pattern includes written instructions and charts for the lattice pattern and decreases. With the tubular cast on, these have a lovely stretchy cuff. Directions are written for using a cable needle, but the cables are easy enough to do without if you prefer. This pattern was written with advanced beginners in mind - the techniques may seem challenging, but are easy with a little practice.
