This is a pattern for a hot water bottle cover to fit an average sized hot water bottle. It is part of the Domestic Bliss Range of knit and crochet projects for the home by Sian Brown, Nostalgia Group.
The front is a cable lattice stitch pattern, and the back is plain stocking stitch. The tie is finished off with knitted flowers.
Drops Alaska Aran is used for the sample, other aran weight yarn worked to the same tension can be used instead.
