Lattice Twist Scarf or Cowl
Hot and humid summer weather may have you yearning for the crisp bright days of autumn when the woods invite us to wander in invigorating scents of fallen leaves and pine. Trees have a relaxing effect, so take a deep breath and savour the season.
A light yet cozy scarf or cowl has extra warming power due to the lattice cable having a subtle pattern on the reverse side with pockets that trap the warmth. The cable, which has both charted and written instructions included, is easy to remember and suitable for any skill level. You have the option of three or five buttons: with three buttons you have a scarf that fastens at collar level, but with five buttons a cowl can be fashionably worn as well--and the buttons don’t need to match because mismatched buttons are trendy!
Scarf or Cowl Size: 24” x 6”
Notions: 3 or 5 3/4” buttons, cable needle
Yarn: 100 gm of DK or Sport
Gauge: flexible
Erratum: The last line of buttonhole instructions should read “pass the previous stitch over it.”
