Enhance the texture of the alpine stitch with weaving!

Both sides of this textured throw pillow are crocheted in the alpine stitch—a stitch combination using Double Crochet and Front-Post Double Crochet stitches. The texture of these stitches is enhanced with the addition of weaving in an accent-coloured yarn.

You can use a complementary colour combo to create a subtle look, or use contrasting colours to really make the lattice pattern pop!

This pattern is designed to fit a standard 14” throw pillow insert or you can use stuffing. This pattern also includes instructions for stitching a zipper into one of the sides so you can remove the insert or stuffing.

Materials
YARN:

• Main Colour: 450 yds of worsted weight yarn
• Accent Colour: 15 yds of DK or light worsted weight yarn

HOOKS

• 5.5mm
• 3-4mm (optional, for crab stitch border)

• 14” square standard pillow form or stuffing
