The Winter Olympics are a feast for a knitter’s eyes. There are always one or two hats that make us drool. In 2018 in Pyeongchang, for me, that hat belongs to Latvia. In the colors of the Latvian Flag, it’s a simple design with lots of “pop” ! I love it. I have sizes for all Latvian Team wanna-be’s.

I have reverse engineered it in 4 sizes: SM, MED, LG (in photo) and XL.
Enjoy. I used some Lion Brand Wool I had - any worsted will do.

Materials:
100, 120, 120, 140 yds Worsted in Carmine Red for MC
100, 120, 120, 140 yds Worsted in White for CC
US Size 7 / 4.5 mm 16 or 24 in circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
US size 6 / 4 mm 16 or 24 in circular needles or 1 size smaller than above needles

Gauge: 22 sts x 22 rows =
4 in / 10 cm in stranded stockinette st, blocked
Finished Circ:
app (15.25, 17.5, 19.5, 21.5) in / (38.75, 44.5, 49.5, 54.5) cm, blocked.
Finished Length: (8.5, 9.25, 10, 10) in / ( 21.5, 23.5, 25.5, 25.5) cm
