Laurel Crown is a headband with a motif like the crown worn by Olympic victors in ancient Greece. I designed this a while back and it sat on the back burner. The inspiration for this pattern’s publication is the necessity of social distancing and my own desire to be proactive in distracting myself and my community in a time of high stress. I knit it in a day (a few hours) and I hope that it will help you bust your stash, distract you, and make you feel like a champion.

Please share suggestions & pattern notes. This pattern has not been tech edited or test knit other than by yours truly. I would also love to see if you incorporate the motif into another design. I think it would look lovely in a variety of objects.

Yarns used here: Polka Dot Sheep’s Whitefish Worsted in the colorway Fog on the Mountain & Malabrigo Rios in the colorway Fresco y Seco
