Laurel Mists MKAL
“Don’t be afraid to go into the mist, be excited because you don’t know where you will end up.” - Sophie Madden
Over in the Great Smoky Mountains, where the mist stretches from sky to tree, it is easy to lose oneself in the wonder of laurel bushes, mountain tops, and cool, wild woods. It is like stepping into a different world. Guided by the ancient wisdom that seems to exude from the ground, we have nothing to do but discover … new directions, new scents, a new sense of self. The excitement of discovering what lays behind the misty, laurel-coated hills is the inspiration for our 2020 SweetGeorgia Mystery Knit-Along (MKAL)!

Laurel Mists is worked with three colours: two skeins of CashLuxe Spark and one Sock Yarn Blank. The total yardage used is 1264 yds of fingering-weight yarn.
The original sample uses colours that softly contrast each other, while emphasizing the changing-colours of the sock blank itself. In fact, it makes it look like you’ve used a lot of colours without actually using a lot of colours! So, aim for fun contrast in your yarn selections, with one being a multi-colour yarn, so that the individual stitch patterns are highlighted to their full potential.
You’ll find colour combination ideas in the Planning Stage PDF to help take out some of the guesswork for you. Check out current kits HERE from sweetgeorgiayarns.com.
