LAUREN JACKET

The Lauren Jacket is a top-down drop shoulder cardigan. The process begins with the back panel, which is shaped with German short rows to create shoulder slopes. After completing the back panel, stitches are picked up along the front to shape the neckline, working the front panels downward. During this step, the button band is worked simultaneously.

Once the back panel and both the right and left front panels are completed up to the armhole, all stitches are joined, and the body is worked top-down. To add pockets, a setup is done partway through the body, and the body is then worked to the hem. The pocket lining is knitted separately and joined with the body stitches before finishing the body hem with ribbing.

The sleeves are worked top-down by picking up stitches from the armhole. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline to knit the collar, completing the cardigan.
