The Laurentians are a mountain range in southern Quebec, Canada. In late September and October, the landscape comes alive with bursts of reds, yellows, and browns before the leaves fall. The Laurentian Shawl is made entirely of leaves―it is elegant, large, and perfect to keep you warm during the cooler months.

This is an intermediate level pattern, requiring knowledge of basic crochet stitches, as well as ability to read stitch charts.

The pattern is written in standard US crochet terms. It comes in one size; however, the size may be increased or decreased, as desired.

Dimensions:
84” (213 cm) x 37” (94 cm)

Here’s what you’ll need:
Hook: 4 mm
Yarn: 1350 yards (1228 m) of DK weight yarn. I used 2.25 skeins of Lion Brand Mandala in Warlock.
