Lausan is a raglan cardigan with nice details worked seamlessly from the top down to the hem. Start working the neckband with the double-face-technique adding a color pop to your main color. Continue shaping the neckline with short rows. After this work the yoke in rows down to sleeve separation. Place sleeve stitches on hold and continue working the lower body down to the hem including the pockets. When the body is completed, the sleeves are worked in rounds down to the cuffs adding one or two contrasting colors for a small pattern and the cuffs. Finally work the buttonband and the buttonhole band. The cardigan is intended to be worn with 7-8” | 15-20cm positive ease for a comfortable fit.

Yarn: Any yarn that gives you the proper gauge. Any DK/worsted weight yarn with approximately 235yds | 215m / 100g will work well. The cardigan on the photo is worked with Homey color by nature´s luxury yarns (main color: Hochalp, contrasting colors: CC1: Moss Plaid, CC2: Vulcano Godess).

Needles and tools:
• Size US 7 (4,5mm): Circular needle at least 31´´ (80cm) for collar, yoke and the body; dpn´s for sleeves or long circular needle if using magic loop method
• Size US 4 (3,5 mm): Circular needle for the front edges; dpn´s for the ribbed cuff
• Optional: Circular needle at least 31´´ (80cm), size US 2 (2,75mm) for picking up stitches for the front edges

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Lausan wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt. Man beginnt mit dem Kragen in Doppelstricktechnik, so dass die Innenseite eine Kontrastfarbe zeigt. Anschließend wird der Ausschnitt mit verkürzten Reihen geformt und gleichzeitg beginnen die Zunahmen für die Raglanärmel. Wenn die Armlochtiefe erreicht ist, werden die Ärmelmaschen stillgelegt und der untere Körper wird fertig gestellt, wobei gleichzeitig die Taschen gearbeitet werden. Danach werden die Ärmel in Runden gestrickt, wobei im unteren Teil ein kleines Noppenmuster eine Kontrastfarbe aufgreift. Das Ärmebündchen wird im Rippenmuster ebenfalls in einer Kontrastfarbe gestrickt. Zuletzt werden die vorderen Blenden kraus rechts gearbeitet. Es können eine oder zwei Kontrastfarben verwendet werden. Die Jacke ist mit einer Mehrweite von 15-20cm entworfen.
