♦ This DIGITAL knitting pattern is available only in ENGLISH.

This pattern has been designed to fit the “Dotpebblesknits” knitted frog pattern, available here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1160794362/frog-knitting-...

Using the suggested materials, this pattern will guide you through the process of knitting a dress, which is approximately 4.5cm wide across the neck and 10cm wide at the hem. It is approximately 8.5cm in length from the neck to the hem and tote/shopper bag, which measures 5cm wide and 4cm tall, not including the strap (which can be adjusted in length to suit your tastes)

There are options for three different kinds of strap included in the pattern – pictured in the examples is the i-cord version

Please note

To knit this pattern, you will need to have previous experience with the fair-isle technique or a willingness to learn the technique - I do not provide lessons for this technique within the pattern, though an explanation of the technique and guidance on finding tutorials to suit your knitting style is given.

This pattern is written in plain English - there is no chart included for the colour-work section

♦What you’ll get:

A Digital knitting pattern in PDF format - 17 pages long with high resolution, full colour images.

A printer friendly version of the PDF, which does not include any images.

♦What is NOT included:

The pattern for the frog itself

♦ Included in this pattern:

♦ Instructions for a knitted dress and tote bag. Designed for flat knitting on 2 needles with some seaming at the end.

♦ Lots of how-to images for each step, to help guide you through the process.

♦ Video links to helpful YouTube videos that support the written explanations for the techniques required, beyond knitting basics.

♦Materials list:

DK weight yarn for the dress (or yarn in the same weight as your frog) in at least three colours
I have used Stylecraft Special DK in the colours: Cream, Wisteria and Meadow.
The amounts used are fairly small – the whole dress only weighs 8grams so this is a great stash-buster pattern!

• A small amount of 4ply yarn for knitting the bag (I have used Yarn & Colors “Must Haves” 100%
mercerised cotton in cream)

• A pair of straight knitting needles for the dress (I used 2.75mm) and a second pair for the tote
bag (I used 2.5mm)

• A button for closing up the back of your dress – I use a 6mm button

• Tapestry needle with a blunt tip for seaming and weaving in ends

• Scissors

• Crochet hook – A few sizes smaller than the needles used to knit your dress – required to add the button loop (I like to use a 2mm hook)

• (Optional) 2.5mm dpns for knitting the alternative i-cord bag strap or a 2.5mm hook, if you wish to make a crochet strap instead
