Lavender Shawl
“Lavender”
This is a DK weight pattern making an asymmetrical shaped shawl.
I have used two different bases of yarn within the pattern, to add the contrast of texture and feel to the finished item. If you prefer, you can of course create it using just one base type and one colour.
full details of the yarns are in the pattern
It is also reversible.
The yarn I have used has been locally sourced by Loch Ness Knitting and lovingly dyed using sustainable natural waste and plants from her area in Scotland.
I have taken the name of the colourway and the inspiration of lavender growing in a walled garden to create the stitch pattern to the shawl.
It is also possible very easily to create this design in 4ply to make a smaller light weight shawl and the pattern contains meterage and needle sizes to be able to do this.
Its created using simple knit and purl stitches and is suitable for a beginner upwards by following the easily written rows. The pattern contains no charts and is worked flat.
