This is a fun two-skein project, sure to please adults and children alike.
The entire monster is knit in the round from the bottom up. The limbs are added-on using the afterthought thumb method. It is described briefly the first time it comes up in the pattern, but there are plenty of great YouTube videos of it if you need further instruction. The same is true for short-row, wrap and turns and the Kitchener stitch.
Materials:
-
Two skeins Good Karma Farm worsted weight yarn -
One #7, 16 inch circular needle
-
One set #7 double pointed needles
-
Stuffing material
-
Felt, buttons, embroidery floss, etc.
-
Tapestry/Embroidery needle
-
Five lengths of scrap yarn
Gauge:
Approximately 4 to 4.5 stitches and 6 rows per inch on a US 7 needle. Since it is a stuffed object rather than a garment, the gauge really isn’t crucial.
