Lavinia
When you want to look glamorous but still keep cozy, it’s hard to beat a capelet like Lavinia. The textured shells that decorate the body and collar create a beautiful scalloped edging, and the simple shape of Lavinia is easy to knit. The body of the capelet is knit from the bottom up and put aside once the neckline is shaped. A collar is knit separately from the bottom up, and the collar is joined seamlessly to the body using a three-needle bind off. A decorative clasp completes the look, or you can use a favorite brooch or shawl pin as a closure.
