Crochet pattern leaflet includes instructions to make the ruffled dress made from cabled cotton (or substitute worsted weight acrylic) accented with “velvet” chenille and thread; pantaloons and shoes made from perle (or substitute #10); picture hat made from Speed-Cro-Sheen (or size 3 thread) with sport weight chenille hat band. Fits 18” American Girl Dolls, Springfield Dolls, Goetz Dolls or dolls of a similar size.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Sizes D and G crochet hooks and size 7 steel hook or sizes needed for gauge; six #3 snaps; 16 gauge wire; 2 1/2” diameter rubber band or 1/4” elastic cut to size and sewn together; worsted weight mercerized cotton--600 yds. mint green, 450 yds ecru; #5 perle cotton--90 yds. mint green, 210 yds. ecru; 100 yds green sport weight rayon chenille; 150 yds ecru size 3 thread. You may substitute #10 thread for #5 perle cotton as long as correct gauge is achieved. You may substitute a thinner type acrylic worsted weight (such as Caron’s Simply Soft) for the mercerized cotton as long as correct gauge is achieved.

GAUGE
With G hook and worsted weight:
4 sts and 5 sc rows or 2 dc rows = 1 inch.

With D hook and size 3 thread or chenille
6 sc = 1 inch. 11 sc rnds = 2 inches.

With size 7 steel hook & #5 perle cotton or #10 thread
3 pattern sts of (sc, ch 2) = 1 inch. 7 rows pattern st = 1 inch.
