• Strand 2: Fingering weight yarn in 5 different colors

• Sample is made in Holst Garn Tides (70% wool / 30% silk) shown in colorway Cream held together with Holst Garn Coast (55% lambswool / 45% cotton) shown in colorways Ivory (MC), Jade (CC1), Marsh (CC2), Fig (CC3) and Plum (CC4)
• You can choose your own combination of yarns and colors. I’ll give you some ideas:
o All stripes in the same color
o Every stripe in a different color (like a rainbow)
o Both strands from the same yarn but in different colors
o Stripes in different types of yarns (e.g. with fuzzy content or boucle)

SIZES

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (see final measurements for details)

GAUGE (after washing and blocking!)

18 sts x 27 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm (= 4 in x 4 in) in stocking stitch

MATERIAL

• 4,5mm (US 7) circular needles, 4,0mm (US 6) circular needles for folded hem, cuffs and button band, 4,0mm DPN/spare needle (only 1!) for button band
• 5 buttons 18-20mm
• 8 sm + 1 unique sm for BOR, additional sm for the SRs on the button band (optional)
• Darning needle
• Extra cables / spare yarn / cords (for putting sts on hold)
• Optional: crochet hook for casting off folded hem and cuffs (if preferred)

TECHNIQUES

• Regular cast on (e.g., long tail) and bind off, backwards loop cast on
• Short rows (e.g., German short rows)
• Lifted increases, left-leaning and right-leaning decreases (described in pattern)
• Picking up stitches (described in pattern)
• Double knitting with Italian cast on (described in pattern)
