The construction of this toque is easy, requiring the equivalent to 1 skein of Cozy Wool by Loops & Threads. I used three colours for this pattern: the brim knit in a 2×2 rib with Colour A, the body of the hat with Colour B in an all-over Dot Stitch pattern and a large pompom made with Colour C. If you intend to knit this with three colours, you will have enough yarn leftover to make upwards to two more hats from the same yarn. This is excellent yarn economy, especially if you’re into last minute gift knitting! Though, you can totally knit this pattern with one skein if you’re not into colour blocking.

I have made this to fit an average size adult head with enough slouch to make it trendy. If you’d like to make it smaller or bigger, I suggest adjusting your needles rather than adding more or less stitches. The finished hat stretched quite a bit so it can accommodate a variety of noggins.
