Layered Crochet Flower
by Meg Talbot
This is an intermediate crochet flower. This is the perfect way to use up scraps because it doesn’t take much yarn and you can make each layer a different color if you like. You can adjust this pattern by using any weight of yarn and whichever hook you want to achieve a certain look. You can also adjust the petals by adding/subtracting treble stitches.
This flower looks great on hats or ear warmers, but it would also be the perfect accessory for a bag or sweater. I sew these flowers to felt and hot glue to hair clips so they can be worn in hair, too.
This pattern uses single crochet, treble crochet, chain, slip stitch and front-post single crochet. I also highly recommend you start with a magic circle instead of chains.
