A Soft and plush tote bag that holds its shape and doesn’t require a lining is everyone’s dream to crochet!

This tote bag was designed and created specifically for Handmade wardrobe blog hop hosted by Susanna Biaye for Q4 of 2023.

The bag measures 11” wide by 11” tall not including the straps.

Decided to use canvas strips for the straps as the bag is nice and sturdy and didn’t want the crocheted straps to make the bag sag. It also provides a nice contrast from the stitch.

The yarn used was locally sourced in India and the wrapper indicates that it is a super bulky yarn but it gives 7 wpi hence categorized it as bulky. This yarn is 51% cotton and 49% polyester and is loosely plied.

Alternate yarns would be as follows:
Indian yarns :- Cotto-nit by Ganga Acrowools, Bulky Yarn by Hobby Store, Tshirt yarn
Foreign yarns :- Lion Brand Woolease thick and quick , Lion Brand Re-spun thick and quick, Lion Brand Hometown Yarn, Big Twist Static from Joann’s.

The pattern follows a 3 round repeat and is easy to execute.
