A simple sock with a pretty lace fold down cuff and stocking stitch foot, knit in the round from cuff to toe. Starting with the lace cuff, then a ribbed ankle section (hidden behind the cuff when worn), a slip stitch rib heel followed by a dutch heel turn and rounded toe.

Pattern includes 2 sizes
Approximate foot circumference
60 st -Small: 17 cm/6.5 inch
72 st - Large: 20.5 cm/8 inch
The foot length is customisable to your preference by adding or omitting rows on the foot.

As always needle sizes are a guide but you will need to use the size which allows you to match gauge. Any differences in gauge may affect the yarn quantity required.

The lace pattern requires attention as the stitch count numbers change per repeat to give the 3D effect.
The lace needs to be worked at a looser gauge/tension than you would normally use for socks to maintain the 3D effect and the following rib section will look much smaller as this will be knit at your normal sock gauge with negative ease. When worn the lace cuff folds over the ribbing.

While there are no specific directions within the pattern for method of working in the round, if using DPN’s it is easier to keep pattern repeats together, IE: begin with multiples of 12 stitches per needle.

The pattern uses the same lace design as the Layna Mitts.
