The Lazlo Beanie is a comfortable, barely snug little hat knit up in a soft and squishy high-ply merino. The pattern has instructions for four sizes and includes options for modifying it to be more or less snug.

Sizing
Extra-Small (Small, Medium, Large)
Extra-Small will comfortably fit 20 - 22 in (51 - 56 cm)
Small will comfortably fit 21 - 23 in (53 - 58 cm)
Medium will comfortably fit 22 - 24 in (56 - 61 cm)
Large will comfortably fit 23 - 5 in (58 - 63 cm)

Materials

• 65 - 85 g Wollmeise DK, or other high-ply, tightly spun superwash merino (see yarn suggestions).
• US #4 (3.5mm) 16 in (40 cm) circular needle
• US #6 (4mm) 16 in (40 cm) circular needle (or needles needed to reach gauge)
• US #6 (4mm) DPNs or 36 in (90 cm) circular needle
• Stitch marker & tapestry needle
• Cable needle (optional)

Regarding Yarn Choice
The recommended yarn for this hat is Wollmeise DK, which is a high ply, high twist yarn that works up closer to sport weight. Standard 3-4 ply superwash merino DK works up much heavier than the yarns I recommend, so if you choose this you may need to knit a size down in a looser gauge.
