The sun is high and hot in the sky. In the cool shade of the leafy trees, the hammock beckons. Ah, lazy day…
Open mesh and stylized leaves combine to create light and playful socks. Worked from the top down, socks feature a gently waving ribbed cuff, round heel, and wedge toe. A basic knowledge of top down sock construction is helpful.
SIZE: 8” circumference when slightly stretched
(women’s medium).
YARN: 325-400 yds fingering weight. Shown in Barking
Dog Yarns Achilles (80% merino, 20% nylon) - Siesta.
NEEDLES: U.S. Size 1½ (2.5mm) - 2 circular or 5 double pointed. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain
correct gauge or to resize pattern.
OTHER: Stitch markers (optional), tapestry needle.
GAUGE: 32 sts = 4” in stockinette.
PATTERN: 3 page pdf includes chart and written instructions.
