This is a quite simple project, but I give you 2 versions.The « normal » (or shorter) and longer cowl. Both have a lace ending in lower part and a pretty, but easy, ribbing design for main part. Then shorter one stop after as many rows in ribbing stitch that you want(for example, at the end of your skein). But you keep going for the longer one and finish it with another lace edging.
You need : 220 yards (335 yards) of worsted yarn. I used one skein of Souk from Cascades for the short cowl, and 2 skeins of Baby Lama of Asland Trends for the long cowl.
Circular needle of 16’’/40 cm and 4.5 mm, or for a gauge of 18 stitches X 24 rows for 10 cm/4’’ in stockinette stitch, will give you a cowl of about 51 to 56 cm/20 to 22’’ for width, and 35cm/14’’ long for short cowl and 50 cm/20’’ for long cowl.

Ce col est plutôt simple, mais il est fait en 2 versions. Le col « normal » et le col-cagoule (entre parenthèses). Les 2 ont une finition dentelle dans le bas et un joli point côtelé et simple pour la partie principale. Le col simple s’arrête après autant de rangs du point côtelé que vous le voulez (comme, par exemple, la fin de votre pelote de laine). Tandis que le col-cagoule se prolonge et se termine par une finition dentelle.
Fourniture : 200 mètres (350 mètres) de laine de grosseur no 4 (worsted). J’ai utilisé une balle de la Souk de Cascades pour le col, et 2 balles de la Baby Lama de Asland Trends pour le col-cagoule.
