A: MULTI COLOR COTTON _ URTH YARNS, Uneek Cotton (dk)
275 yds./251 m. to 100 g
Color A #1078, “the pinks” 3 skeins - 260 g used. (40 g left over) about 715 yds.
Color B #1081, “the blues” 3 skeins - 251 g used. (49 g left over) about 690 yds.

B: SOLID, generic SUPERWASH MERINO WOOL_
221 yds/202 m. to 100g. of wool.
Color A - BLACK 4 skeins – with 73g left over APPROX. 725 yds.
Color B - WHITE 3 skeins - with 21g left over APPROX. 620 yds.
ACCENT - RED 1 skein – with 95 g left over APPROX. 20 yds.

Needles:
US 06 / 4.0 mm (round, one pair, long)
I recommend a longer round needle, as you work this from ‘side to side’ and it is a long piece.
60” would be outstanding, but as long as you have or can find works better than something shorter.

Notions: 15 stitch markers
tapestry needle to tuck ends.
smaller crochet hook or smaller needle for tight BO.

Le Roy (the king), cape of short rows.
This piece is not difficult but requires patience and attention- and offers the BIG reward of a unique look. If you are able to Knit & Purl you CAN do this. It is much simpler than the Butterfly Shawl but has similarities.
If you are new to short rows, please try starting and seeing if it makes sense as you knit. It probably will not by just looking at the pattern, or pre-reading the pattern.
Seeing it as you knit really helps it make sense as to what is going on- JUMP in, try it, have confidence.
