Leadplant Beanie
The Leadplant, sometimes called prairie shoestring or wild tea, is characterized by a fine grayish-green foliage. This classic textured beanie pattern pays homage to the leadplant.
The beanie is knit from brim to crown and begins with a twisted ribbed hem, followed by a delicate gathered stitch that is reminiscent of the leadplant’s foliage, and ending with a garter stitch detail at the crown.
This light fingering weight hat is the perfect beanie to keep your ears cozy in cool offices, in those brisk fall and spring mornings, and for throwing over a bad hair day when you don’t need the heavy duty head warmers.
The Leadplant hat is available in the following sizes, please note that the measurements are taken unstretched, many people prefer hats to have 1-2 inches of negative ease:
Baby : 14.75 inches (36.9cm) around using approximately 120 yards
Toddler : 16 inches (40 cm) around using approximately 150 yards
