Leaf Dress
I designed my dream dress :) It features a leaf colourwork pattern around the yoke and around the bottom of the skirt. The hem of the skirt and the sleeves furthermore feature beautiful lace elements. The dress is knit from the top down and there is no sewing involved. The dress includes a waistband (elastic knit-in) so that the skirt rests comfortably on your hips.
Unfortunately, this is only available in one size--the size I knit for myself.
Yarn: 2,070 yards of cream-coloured yarn (I used nine balls of Knitpicks Palette). 462 yards of green-coloured yarn (I used two balls of Knitpicks Palette) Note: You will have quite a bit of green yarn left unused. However, I still recommend working with two balls of green yarn because you need to work with two balls of yarn at the same time for the waistband.
Gauge: 26 stitches on 3.5 mm needles = 4 inches
Needles: 3.5 mm circular needles, 16 inches, 24 inches, and 32 inches (you will be switching from the shorter length to the longer length as you knit from the yoke to the bottom)
TWO sets of 3 mm circular needles, 24 inches
You will also need an elastic waistband. (Mine was 1 inch high).
Sizes: M (36 inches bust measurement, 33.5 inches waist measurement, 11.5 inches circumference on upper arms)
Instructions to adapt the length of upper body, skirt, and sleeves are included in the instructions.
