Leaf Envy
Adjoining leaves swirl outward from the center of this circularly knitted pattern. Worn as a scarf or wrap, this project is light, airy and lacey. As additional leaves are formed, the project becomes triangular in shape, fully visible once blocked. Leaf Envy can be worn as a scarf, small shawl or full sized shawl.
Minimal knowledge of lace increase and decrease stitches is needed to complete. The pattern is both written and charted. Size adjustment instructions and information are provided for either smaller or larger sizes. Instructions for a crochet bind off are given. Blocking allows the finished fabric to bloom.
The featured sample measures 45” between corner tips and requires one, 700 yard skein of “Lavish Lace” from BBKnits.com in Illumination; 50% Merino/50% Silk.
At the request of several knitters, a square version has been turned into a pattern. The SQUARE VERSION has been charted and has written directions. A sample has been made having 8 swirling leaves!
