“’Leaf’ it on” - Impressive Shawl with leaf motif in Tunisian crochet.
Impressive shawl with leaf motif in Tunisian crochet. The peculiar leaf design is similar to knitting, but it is crocheted! It looks like brioche crochet/knitting, but it is not reversible. This project can be made very easily and is the perfect gift, thanks to my video tutorial showing how to crochet the leaf motif.

This pattern is easy to follow, thanks to the many links to my video tutorials explaining stitches and techniques. It uses basic Tunisian crochet stitches (tss, twtss, tps, Rib Stitch).

This pattern is in ENGLISH and uses standard US crochet terminology and abbreviations.

• MATERIALS
1 cake (300 g – 10.6 oz) of Fine/Light yarn in ombre colour. I used Stenli “Soufflè Lux” (10% Lame, 80% Cotton, 10% Polyester) in colour 2031 .

Tunisian hook, long straight or cabled: 3 mm (11 – D3) – or hook size needed to obtain gauge; stitch marker(s) (optional).

• STITCHES USED
Tunisian Rib Stitch, Tunisian Purl Stitch, Tunisian Simple Stitch, Tunisian Twisted Stitch - worked flat; Back Bump Increasing, Decreasing; regular crochet basics

• GAUGE
28 sts x 17 rows in Leaf motif = 4” (10 cm)

• DIMENSIONS
Main side measures 162 cm (63.7”), other 2 sides 140 cm (55.1”) each.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy-Intermediate.
