Leaf Lace Toe-Up Socks
by choperena
Basic toe up sock pattern was based on wendyjohnson.net
Figure 8 toe was based on knitty.com
These were the first socks I’ve ever made, let alone “designed”, and I managed to make them in two weeks, while waiting for the bus and watching a bit of tv. They are made with a very intuitive pattern repeat that looks much more complicated!
I’m not too fond of the bind off, and will hopefully find better solutions with future patterns. They look ok while on, but are a bit difficult to put on if you have a big foot.
ETA: Yes! I ripped out the crochet and managed to get in five rows of 1x1 ribbing and then do an EZ Sewn bindoff. What a difference!
