The first pattern is my original leaf motif to use in your own designs. The motif measures 10.5” by 6.5” ( 27cm by 17cm ).

The second pattern sets this motif inside a cushion cover to fit an 18” by 18” (46cm by 46cm ) cushion pad.

I have knitted both patterns in New Fashion DK acrylic wool by Woolcraft, but any DK wool of a similar tension would be fine.

To knit the entire cushion, back and front, you will need 90g (225m / 250yd ) yarn in the motif colour and 90g (225m / 250yd) yarn in the background colour.

I have devised a pattern layout that is very easy to read. It is colour blocked to show the overall design and each row can be read in clear knit and purl instructions. A numbered tracking bar helps you to keep your place in the pattern and can be tagged with the colours you are using.

Each pattern can be printed on two sheets of standard printer paper, or read from a PC or Ipad. If you don’t have a colour printer, the pattern can still easily be followed in black and white.
