I began work on the design of this hat back in the fall, as the leaves were really beginning to fall. That cool air was beginning to blow, and my mind began to drift to all things warm and knitted. This hat is designed with a large leaf pattern to give the hat definition without being busy. Knowledge of increases and decreases will make this hat much easier to knit. There are both charts and written directions to make it easy for everyone to follow. I did make this hat with a lovely purple and white variegated yarn, but the pattern was very difficult to see. The pattern will show up best with a more solid yarn.

This pattern will work with an Aran weight yarn as well as a worsted weight.
