The “Leafly” Vest is knitted from the bottom up, starting with a split hem. The leafly colorwork motif is knitted in the round and only requires the use of two colors for each row. It is sometimes necessary to catch floats.

To shape the armholes and the v-neck, the front and back are separated under the arms and knitted back and forth. For the cable details of the v-neck, the pattern provides both written and charted instructions. To finish the v-neck and armholes with 1 by 1 ribbing, stitches are picked up at the edges.

The Leafly vest is obviously inspired by the fall season and plays with the coloring and shape of different types of leaves. Especially small leftovers of one color can really shine in this colorwork motif.
